They are boxy. All older Japanese cars are shoeboxes with wheels to me. |

original 240Z was not fast - churning high 16s in the 1/4 mile. Still a neat car... alot better with a Chevy 350 in it though. |

#79 I don't give a happy shit if Japan builds a 10L engine, it'll still have no fucking torque. And that I will chalk up to a stupid "gentleman's agreement". Pontiac and Ford share a patent on torque, LOL. |

#79, Could be, couldn't be, who knows? Japan doesn't have a special technology or techniqe that no other country has. You can't say "If the Japanese built a big engine it would outrun American engines of the same size", because there you have the assumption that Japan builds all good engines and the U.S. builds all crappy engines, and that sounds a bit like xenophobia on your part. |

Actually, speaking from Datsun Z ownership experience, they wouldn't work too well with a 350 V8, because it completely goes against the sports car principle of a Z. Now a 283 or a 302 or a 305 would be another story. :)

$10k and I'll stomp any ricerboy into the ground with my fuckin' CAPRICE. It's called a crate engine... 650hp. So let's see, $10,400 (not including cost of oil change (= ) and I've got a car that'll kill an $80k Skyline, and be a sleeper, at that. Works for me. |
