Description:
My friends '93 Saturn after it had been cleaned off after we went off roading in it.

His car had gotten rear-ended by a Chevy C1500 truck. Yes, that's a trailer light in there.

The WHOLE body is plastic?!? I thought it was only the doors.

CHEAP POS.

#1, Hey, the Chevy C1500 was totalled...the Saturn was still driveable. Nice thing about plastic, it doesn't crumple, it shatters. So you don't have pieces of body sticking out...

The only parts that are polymer are the doors, and the rear and front quarter panels, and the bumpers. everything else is steel. Including the spaceframe.

OTOH, the L-series has steel rear quarter panels.

I believe polymer is in the same places as it was on the phased out S-series.
(I'm not sure if the VUE has steel or plastic rear quarter panels.

oh and #1, what sense would that make if only the doors were polymer? That kind of defeats the purpose of having them at all.

So what do y'all think of my friend ingenious jerryrigging of an old trailer light as a replacement taillight?

#8, I don't see how that's crap, especially if there's steel underneath it.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Saturns are lead bricks surrounded by plastic. They can take quite a beating, and come back for more. My sister's Aerostar was trashed by a Saturn that was able to drive off. My friend's Saturn (picture) totalled a Chevy C1500 large-ass pickup truck. This car was still driveable...very well actually...off-roading in it was fun.
