#56, Throwing a V8 into a V6 car isn't necessarily the best idea. I'd expect that the V8 car would have the 8.8" rear (instead of the 7.5" that the V6 has), possibly better transmission, stronger front springs, etc. Not to mention the wide variety of wiring harnesses that would have to be changed. If you are looking at cars of that age, you would do better to find one that was a V8 to begin with, in my opinion.

Or you could throw a lot of money into the 3.8!

#61, I'm not saying it can't be done, but I am saying that you'd have to have a darn good reason to do it, because it probably won't be cheap.

#63, That's true. If he had a donor car to provide most of the parts, he'd be in good shape there.

I say go with the Camaro. I'm partial to Camaros though (see 18291). :D

But it really boils down to what you like and what you think is the best deal. Mustangs are awesome -- Camaros are awesome. Or if you want to wait, I'm sure something else nice will come along.

most people with camaros and mustangs tend to drive them like camaroes and mustangs if you get my drift, I'd avoid both of these

#70, you said you like the foxes but cant find any nice ones you like, so find a 4 banger thats still in good shape, then find a junked 5.0 with low miles (and a side impact would be the best bet)

#70, the camaro has damn near 100,000 miles the mustang has 120,000 miles. now I don't know how well they were maintained but that's headed toword problem territory, that is if they aren't already there

#76, yeah at 120,000 a 5.0 only has about 30,000 left on it before it starts to go (if driven the way a 5.0 should be)
