Funny how all you guys say vipers arnt good track cars. Paul Mumford in his comp coupe viper pretty much destroyed every factory funded car in his class before he died in a plane crash.

#42, Not "All us guys"...just AC Schnitzer M3, who is a total fuckhead that talks out of his fanboy ass most of the time.

Well, I also frequently wisecrack that the most popular hood ornament (for a street-driven Viper) is a telephone pole.

#45, AC was talking about Viper being poor "track cars" not poor "cars mommy and daddy bought jr." or "Mr. Instant Millionaire who can't drive worth a shit" cars...

vipers seem to do a good job at Lemans

Yeah, I know. :-) Just stating that I could see where the apparent bias might come from. I'm glad AC stopped posting on here a while back, though, especially when he chose such an idiotic way to go out. Remember how he posted that Car&Driver (or similar) cover page and said something to the effect of "M3 owns you all"?

It doesn´t necessarily take a good track car to exel at LeMans... The track IS in fact a straight line for the most part, perfect for a Viper. ;)

Lemans tracks... not exactly a high banked Nascar track... so I imagine handling is somewhat important

#55, Id rather have a flat 6 with two turbos. Or an inline 6.. or a V8.. or a V10.. or a V12.. (I think you know what I mean by now :P)

Goes without saying. Guess I'll have to settle for a V6, NA, at about 40% over stock output. :-P

#57, I had another odd idea the other day. Get a Mustang, rip the engine out of it and put in a top-end i6 from Toyota or Nissan (or any other company with a good i6, for that matter)

#58, That'd be funny, although it'd probably be an engineering nightmare because your average I6 is a very long engine, indeed.

#59, Thats the only snag. Maybe I could shove it in diagonally... one-wheel-drive!
