a great setup on a civic will smoke a viper. viper's are not quartermile cars.

I get the impression that they've got great power and tons of torque, but it's kind hard to keep it under control. Hence the frequently unimpressive quartermile performance and all of Jurrell's Viper wreck photos.

i mean in my opinion they aren't good track cars, i think they are better straight line, pluse they are good cruisers

Well, they're front engined, rear wheel drive, and they've got loads of torque. It's probably quite hard to avoid getting out of control powering it out of a corner, etc. As far as the straigtline thing goes, sure, there may be video of a Civic blowing away a Viper, but it's probably one heck of a Civic vs. a stock Viper. Sink a few bucks into the Dodge and see what happens.

the civic has to run faster than a flat 12, which means about 500hp, based on the times that they run

#36, Maclaren F1 GTR or something isnt it. It aint stock thats for sure.
