Well, in my humble opinion, I'll take all that torque and RWD, nothing beats gettin' the front end to jump up a bit at the light |

Oh hell no. But the thing looks stock as a rock. Its so funny to just leave vl turbos, wrxs, skylines etc for dead. Well maybe not for dead but it can beat them. |

#18 I heard of a guy (Marty Palbakin) with a twin-turbo Pontiac 400 in a GTO that's pushin' 1,800hp and 1,400lb.-ft. and he runs 7s in the 1/4 at 189mph. But to run something like that on the road is nuts. I'd do it, but it's nuts. |

it would be incredibly dumb to actually drive this car on the street...one twitch of your foot and the nose flies up, the tires go up in smoke, and the car in front of your gets rear-ended...plus there's the irresistible temptation of showing off wheelies and such, which most likely will cause an accident |

imagine how friggin heavy the frong of the car is...although im sure the huge rear tires somewhat offset the difference |

#28, It actually isnt heavy, the 540 is bored out which removed much of the material from the block. Normally the higher the displacement of a small/big block compared to the smallest engine that is offered, the litter it is. Example = a 400sb is lighter than a 350sb on average if both are made of the same material. The thing actually ISNT tubbed, so his rear tires arnt that wide. |

you probably drop the clutch at idle and get the hole shot on a civic :) |

Actually highly tuned OHV V8s can be very docile in traffic. And ambient, the secrets to avoiding wheelstands in public places are:
A: Don't drive on the street with drag slicks
B: Don't do a big burnout, then try to leave the stoplight
C: Don't push the accelerator all the way in from a dead stop.
Those should solve that problem. |

#33, Also, (from what I've read) it's possible to disconnect the blower pulley on a car with a Roots-type supercharger and drive it without boost without too many problems. Somehow, I think 540cid, naturally aspirated, would be adequate for daily driving. |
