O joy, this conversation again. :-P

#38, exactly. VERY well worded. I agree with you 100%

For the money, I would much rather have a Lingenfelter Vette. :-)

If I was to get a MR japanese car it'd be a MR2
If I was to get an overpriced japanese car it'd be a skyline
if I was to get a ~3,000lb car with ~300hp it'd be a modified fox mustang

#45, I already have a 3,000 lb car with over 300hp and I only paid 15k (not 90k). If this thing was about 400hp+ it'd be a contender at least. Basically I can kick this car's ass up and down the road and that's just sad considering. But hey, it's a Honda....

#38, the NSXs I've seen racing here at the Grand Rapids Grand Prix (only ran 2 times!) seemed to do pretty damn good... I'm sure they handle well... but for the money, I would sure hate to buy one and then get embarrassed by a Z28 that cost 1/3 as much... sure the NSX costs more, but it isn't good bang for the buck. For the same price, you can buy a nicer car...

Now, after a few in depth convos with the 'big boys' over here, its not so much bang for buck for everyone. Like if I was after bang for buck, I would have bought a 73 celica I found with a 1JZ GTE in it... It would kinda be fuckmeoff quick and for $7500 is about half the cost of my car, however, my car is VERY tidy, a 4 door, still quite capable, and still something different. So not everyone is after bang for buck, but more so some form of indvidualism. BUT!!!! rice is still wrong.

*I still want a sleeper*

#38, 8200 rpm is hardly a "low revving" engine, even by Ferrari standards. Before the F355 (8500 rpm) c. 8000 was the standard for Italian supercars. The NSX is not a supercar, it doesnt have enough "soul" I dont believe the Japanese can build a car with enough passion to fit in that category. Also, it may not keep up with superdave's Camaro in a straight line, but I'm sure come the corners it would be a different story.

#55, While I agree about the handling part, it should but be able to beat my car in a straight line AND around the corners for 90k.

These are good cars, I can't deny it. It just that for 90k you can get so much more. Nobody can deny that this car is horribly overpriced and not on par with the real supercars.

#59, Thats what I've been saying all along in this thread, it is undoubtedly overpriced. I just have to defend it as a great car, I hate how ricer's have made it so a Honda is automatically overhyped. You can't say anything good about a Honda without everybody telling you its not a Ferrari, or accusing you of being a Ricer.
