I remember this car from either Cars in Barns or Maple Leaf Mopars...it was one of them. As I recall it's a '70 Roadrunner, original 383 automatic, pink over white (yeah, it originally had white interior). The guy who took the picture bought it from the guy who parked it, but suffice it to say, it's WAY too far gone to save. He did manage to get some interior parts and I think the front bumper off it though, and are using them to restore another '70 Roadrunner.

The most depressing CIB story was the guy who found a car, can't remember, some old Mopar I think, in a barn. He haggled for YEARS with the guy to sell it, and got the usual "I'm going to fix it someday" responses. Well, eventualy Mr. Going to Restore it decided he wasnt and sold it to the other guy, he tinkered on it for a few minutes, got the motor to start, pulled out of the barn, and the car promptly folded in half from rust....... he took it in stride, salvaged all the parts he could and then scraped what was left

#9, I remember that story. I seem to recall it being a '68 Olds 442, for some reason.

I remember some guy had photographed some rare Olds 442 convertible at a junkyard (think it was a '71 W-30) He didn't know how rare it was at the time, tho. By the time he came back, they had crushed it.

#12, :( Sad. I remeber when I was about 4 or 5 I went to the Lawrence junkyard and I saw a GTO Judge. I asked some guy who was standing around who worked there what happened to it, and he told me it was crusher food. At the time I know NOTHING about muscle cars, and I replied that I though it was cool. God dammit.
