It's darn hard to find one of these still in operation. Last time I remember there being one was one near my Grandma's house in the late 80's, and I was too young to use it

I had a dukes of hazard set, still have the general lee from it.
edit: and one with off road trucks, I think it was called racing bandits. I never encountered anything like this though.

Slot cars were very very popular when I was a little kid, around 85' 86', the catalogues and stores were full of them, racing sets, movie/tv themed sets, stunt sets where there'd be jumps and loops, and they even had sets where you'd drive semitrucks around and there were special track pieces that would load and unload the truck cargo

THey've all kinda died away since then, just not high-tech enough for today's crowd I guess

When my dad was a kid, they used to have slot car tracks set up places like this, usualy running with other similar concessions like skee-ball or arcades

my brother had a small slot car track when I was a kid. (the kind you put together and then take apart when you're done) it had some 70s mopar police car, an orange 70s Dodge van (that I really liked) and a few others I can't remember.

I think there might be a laser tag / video arcade place that has these in the back... really never checked them out, but it looks interesting...

Slot car racing is alive and kicking there are many collectors of 1/32 scale slot cars, there are many classic Le Mans racecars as well as current day sports cars and exotics.

I've seen huge 6+ lane slot car tracks like this...seen people using them, they're awesome.

I really think there should be a distinction made between professional slot car tracks like this, and that two-lane stuff you'd buy for your own home.

I raced on a track that looked EXACTLY like that one, orange or blue would always win, could keep it wide open all the time and never slide off, any below that you had to let off the gas or you'd spin out and most people did that.

We had a setup a lot like this one in my hometown in the late 60s. It was a lot of fun until I got my license and started driving for real.

i've used one slightly bigger, and with more turns. it was inside a mall and was really fun. (she told the guy to keep me there playing, then she would pay when she came to pick me up)

omg... that seriously looks EXACTLY like the one I used to go to when I was a teenager. Right down to that track and the drag strip in the back. Unless you actually took this picture, I think this might actually be the one I used to go to... Damn... this brings back memories.

The place gave away track time to people who won races. I almost never paid for track time.
