Is that a Cobra wheel on the front? I saw a '98 Cobra convertible recently with wheels similar to that one. |

#8, The idea of a cobra convertible doesn't sit well with me. You're paying for a top-performance car, yet get crappy structural integrity in return. Unless you're just a showoff. |

#9, Well, since 99% of people who buy them drive them on the street, perhaps they're willing to trade a little structural integrity for the priviledge of driving with the top down. You still get a car that performs well.
Personally, I prefer coupes/hardtops, though. |

I just don't understand how people feel safe in convertibles. If it flips, you are most likely beheaded. |

#12, not if the top is up, and the rollbar is functioning. Besides, people don't buy them based on safety. They buy them because they want the ability to have than the windows down in the summer. |

Do rollbars come stock on all convertibles? Besides, if you want to have the windows down in the summer, you don't need a convertible...you just need a normal car :) |

#15, I meant MORE than the windows down. I do think almost all convertibels have some type of rollbar. |

#17, hmmm. That seems odd. I remember for certain the Mercedes SL and the Mustangs always had rollbars. As did the Oldsmobile Cutlass supreme. |

The Cutlass really only had a roll bar so that they didnt have to redesign the door latch. |
