I went to prom my sophmore year when I was 16 -
first of all, the girl who asked me out (!!) was a total slut - so I thought, hey - what the hell - at least I can get laid (finally!).
So we go to the prom (after I have to rent a tux, buy flowers, etc) with another couple. The other girl is also a total slut.
We get to the prom, hang out and meet up with two more couples. All the girls are friends, and I only know one of the other guys - who is my best friend Russ. I start dancing with my best friends next door neighbor who I know pretty well - she's been flirting with me for years. We end up making out on the dance floor... sheesh - I wonder how her date felt about that.
Anyways, the eight of us take off to my best friends cottage on Lake Michigan. It's a fairly long drive. We get to the beach, hang out in front of a bonfire, drink some Bacardi, etc. My date takes my hand and we go for a walk. End up making out on the beach, but she tells me she doesn't want to (cont)

then she chimes in that her friend can help me out - I say, uh ok - not really understanding what she's driving at... so she runs off with her friend and you can hear them whispering and giggling. So her friend Laura takes me by the hand and we go down the beach where we start making out and getting hot n' heavy. Got my first taste of uh, oral sex... she wants to do it - but I just couldn't - I barely knew her and the whole situation was too strange - guess I'm just too old fashioned.
So that was my prom - I sometimes wonder why I didn't kill myself back then - just too much weird shit in the small town I grew up in.

our school has a Junior/Senior prom every year. I went both years. Went with a chick from my class my Junior year and then went stag with some friends my Senior year. Didn't want to have sex with the chick my Junior year, I went with her basically out of pity. I wasn't really gonna go that year, but she didn't have a date and she asked me to go and that she would pay for my tux and the tickets. Should have "hit it", but it just didn't feel right (had to be there). I had a big chance to "hook up" with a chick I was really into my Senior year. Everyone travels down to the Jersey shore after their proms and when we were on our way down, we witnessed an accident and wound up waiting and talking with the police for hours. By the time we were done, she just wanted to go home. No "hittin" :(

I didn't go to either prom but I did go to my homecoming senior year, I went stag and pretty much just hung around with some of my other single friends. After the dance we ended up going to some bitchy rich girl named Britney's house with a few cases of beer, some of the guys brought their sophomore and junior dates and there were a few underclassmen there as well. Eventually Britney's friend Megan flipped out and started screaming that it was a senior only party, during which time I was half drunkenly flirting with a girl named Sarah I'd wanted to bang for the past year, she was dating some tool at the time but I didn't care, after a half hour of trying to get down her pants I gave up and accompanied my friend Rick home with our underclassman friend Nick, who threw up in the backseat. Fun times.

I went to my junior prom with a "friend" from work. She spent the whole time hanging on a friend of hers who was working for the catering company. My brother was there with a girl from my class, so the 3 of us hung out all night. It was fun. My date ran off the next day with her new boyfriend and was never seen or heard from again.

I should have added that my best friend Russ' date was my first 'girlfriend' I had when I was 15... by that time we weren't on speaking terms - I was more in the 'want to kill her' terms at the time. so yeah, I don't miss those times :p

I took some hot chick from the pool. She was the biggest homophobe ever. I got smashed stayed up til 7am and it was grand. 3 years later I was told my dad was the hottest as well as the funniest (cause she cock teased 4 of the biggest tools in my grade).
and can someone explain the american sophmore, underclassmen, untermench, stuff to me.
We had it easy grades 9-13. e.g. oh he's a grade 9.

#10, we use them for grades 9-12 (no grade 13 here)
9th grade - freshman
10th grade - sophomore
11th grade - junior
12th grade - senior

We have 12 grades. Here, 1-5 is elementary, 6-8 is middle school, and 9-12 is High School.
9th grade=freshman
10th= sophmore
11th=junior
12th= senior
Freshman and sophmores are also called underclassmen.

OK, that works for me.
We were the last place to get rid of grade 13 in North America. My year was supposed to be the last year, but they moved it back 2 years :). For us its 1-6 Elementary, 7-8 Middle (often the same school), 9-12 High school. And our universities and colleges are like a blend of yours. My university offers certicates and shorter programs and Algonquin College is tecnically both. We get bored in the cold.

I heard of a middle school in my state that had grades 6-9, then high school would be grades 10,11, and 12 only. I don't remember the name of the place though.

we might not have prom this year. Our dumbass school is spending too money on other things. We have more vending machines than Free State, and we also spent a nice bundle re painting the walls for th FOURTH time since I've been there.

my high School is actually a Junior/Senior high school. It goes from 7th - 12th. The 7th and 8th graders being the Junior High in a wing of their own (as it should be the smelly little sob's) and 9 through 12 being the Senior high. Speaking of school, I forget who was just suspended from school for a week, but I know what it was like being out. It's great, got suspended from work for (hopefully, ) for this week. I just wish I could sleep in.
