3L V10 that revs to about 16000rpm and has about 800-900hp.

These and dragster engines are a great example of sacrificing bare nekkid power for reliability/driveablity, they put out impressive numbers, but hand-grenade with frightening regularity

Here's somthing to ponder, we've all probably worked on an engine before, these 3 guys combined have probably worked on how many engines? Hundreds? Thousands? bet they could build one blindfolded!

#12, If you assume 900hp @ 18000rpm, you get 262lb-ft. That's probably a little high, so let's call it 250. That's pretty standard for an F1 engine.
These things are damned unreliable, though, even for F1. Every weekend at least one blows a piston.
