I got a completely worthless 305 if anyone wants a nice n' heavy boat anchor, it makes a nice lawn ornament too..... other lawn "ornaments" around here include an 87' Camaro and a 77' Town Car

I had a 283 lying around somewhere, but I think my friend stole it for some random race pistons he found at a swapmeet for $20.

Well, I've got a 383 that runs but isn't installed in a car yet, need to get a transmission/converter and swap better gears in before I drop it into the 79'

454 in a 1500 series truck, a catalytic converter that is apparently crap, and so on. the guy had to lie to the computer that it was a 350, because it wouldn't accept a 454, and then it all of the emissions tests registered about 4 times the legal maximum.

No, I think he means that his truck failed inspection or something.

#109: Move to Florida. A lot of our counties don't require emissions (maybe even the whole state now).

So, what are you going to do about it?

yeah, but that would require MOVING. I guess I'll do my 383 thingie I've been thinking about for a while.

I've got a 383 mostly built, so I guess I'll just put that in and get a new pair of catalytic converters.

Do you rely on this thing as a daily driver? If so, having it sidelined even long enough to complete an engine swap would be a problem.

It's my daily car, but Ash can take me to work and so on. Fortunately, I have tomorrow off. So I could (hopefully) get the whole buisiness done this weekend. I do have the rest of the month, luckily.
