my stock suspension MCSS corners better than lots of FWD cars I've driven... but I'm sure a teggy or something like that would make me look mighty silly.

Mountaineer cornering = tugboat craziness, but it grips well within it's limits

Caprice = *dies laughing*

I actually forget how bad stock is on the Rustangs. I think the front spindles might be the only original suspension parts left on my V6.

#19, OMG! Amerricun cars can't handle, because there's this magical cloud of invisible pixie dust over America that makes all of their cars incapable of handling, even if they have flawless suspensions and front/rear biases!

And the Mustang Boss 302 never existed. It's a myth, because that car was supposed to be one of the best handling cars in the world in 1969-1970, and Mustangs were NEVAR built to handle.

#43, And don't forget the magical cloud of pixie dust over Japan that makes their cars immune to breakdowns :P

#44, Naw, that's TECHNOLOGY. They have superior smartness, because they're Japanese. They have just enough melanin in their skin to be really smart, but not quite enough to be really good at basketball.

*Runs away*

#43, Since when am I a fanboy? I said most. Not all. Did you catch all of what I said or completely skip the part that contradicts your entire post?
"79-04s suck at handling out of the box"
"You prick! The 69/70s were awesome!"
That has what to do with what I said?

#26, You think I'm a ricer? I drive a completely stock 80s 4 door that I bet could hold its own against your Honda through the turns any day. I've run that thing pretty hard and it sticks like glue. I'm not trying to deny that lots of older stock American cars can't handle - my stance is, if you don't like how it handles, fix it. That's an important part of car ownership: modifying the car to your satisfaction, whether it's visual or under the hood or whatever. Even if it's just a set of tires or springs.

#38, Well, I'll work at the next even as a stewart/official. I'll spend the cash either on the car (still a couple of things need fixing) or save it for fuel and fees for future events. This is how I do it, I run one even and work the next. I have a FIA automotive motorsport stewart license, I'll probably make a motorbike one too.

#36, You were doing allright. Perhaps the most important thing is to catch the slide very early, if you wait and allow it to get too deep, you'll probably spin. Also, it's extra important to know when to fold that opposite lock so you don't get thrown in the opposite direction. The rest is just coordinating steering wheel lock and gas. A 'proper' slide is when you keep your wheels straight but the car is sliding where you want it to go. This is a high-speed slide, it has nothing to do with doriftooo but a lot with 'four wheel drift'. Four wheel drift is a magnificent thing to behold and experience, truly the sign of top driver skill and vehicle familiarity.

#49, Using ricer excuses does not equal being a ricer. Being a ricer also doesnt have anything to do with the car you drive. Ive met people with totally riced cars that were cool as hell and know more than me about cars in general. Ive also met people with nice cars and stock cars who could easily be classified as ricers. Rice is more of a mentality than anything and that "but what if its modded" attitude is an integral part of most ricer's arguments.
