yeah, i found it quite entertaining when a supra that could barely beat a 12-sec ferrari was side-by-side with a 9-sec charger |

problems with stuff no1 posted:
1) It's impossible to drive a keith black-built engine on the street. They idle at 2600 rpms, and are rated for 5 to 6 hours of operation. They may run on gas, but they ain't street motors.
2) Nothing, I don't care what, is going to run 6s on the street. Whoever wrote that is doing something that ricers often do, comparing full race only cars to street driven cars. There's a little thing called traction. Not a whole lot to spare on the street.
3) Doing 9 seconds IS a big deal. Ever done it? It's not exactly easy on the old bod. Doing it on the street IS a major deal. the mid 9 second range is right around the maximum available traction on a good-high quality road, and any faster than that the imperfections in the road would make it a fool's endeavor.
Ricers sometimes will quote the quarter mile times of full race "civics" as how they can be fast. Whoever wrote what no1 posted was doing the same thing. Pro Mod = Not Street. |

The biggest question this movie brings up is: "If the floor clearly falls out and is lost, where does Vin Diesel put his feet when he is 'rescued' later and sits in the passenger seat?" |
