Even disgregarding the US Focus completely, I like this car. Ever since I saw the EuroFocus a couple years ago, I said it would be near the top of my list of economy cars Id actually buy if they brought it over here. There was a time when something with broken-up headlight shape, huge gaping bumper grille, huge wheels, fake fender vents and a spoiler would be considered ugly here... I pitty your Focal situation, Americans, but can't consider this good looking. That, and it always nagged me, that Focus RS and ST are just poor Escort Cosworth replacements. But I still like the ST/ST170 and (previous gen) RS. And fuck you, MxCx.

Correct me if I'm talking out of my ass but it appears with this particular model that Ford wants to seriously compete in the small hatch market, which has been dominated by the likes of VW Golf GTI and Subaru Impreza at least in terms of performance and quality. If Ford can bring a competitively priced, resonably powerful car into the same class and maybe even corner a market it didn't even have before what is there to bitch about? And last time I checked the Golf and Impreza weren't beauty queens either.

#14, I prefer this over the new Impreza, and the Mk VI Grabbit doesn't really appeal to me. I'm not saying I like this car a whole lot, but compared to the dreck Ford forced on us as the NA Focus, this looks quite a bit better. It's "kinda ugly" instead of "beyond terrible looking".
