They kinda got bland and uninterresting towards the end of the run didn't they?

#1, Huh? You got it all wrong. This car has personality. Maybe not quite like my car, but it's a good start! Hehe.

SO personality = dents, missing trim pieces, faded paint, etc?

You're probably right.

For some reason, I can really picture myself going out into a pasture with this thing and cutting up, before finally crashing through a fence and jumping a ditch, crashing back onto the road.

I'm strange, anyway.

Didn't realize that they ever made them in this bodystyle.

#7, I did, but then, it was just a trim level of the Caprice...or was it the other way around? Meh, I dunno.

I always liked these...something tells me that if you pitted this car versus a FX45/RX300/Outback/Explorer/Element/CR-V/Highlander/VUE/Endeavor/Santa Fe in an off-road ability contest...this car would win...

I appreciate any vehicle that was worthy of being made into a heavy-duty police car...these things are tanks, along with the Crown Vics of the same period...

#9, *looks over list*

The only one I take issue with is the Explorer, unless you mean the BRAND NEW Explorer...

Glad you didn't mention the Sportage, or the Tracker/Sidekick/Vitara/Grand Vitara/XL-7...which are all REAL trucks...

No, I mean the BRAND NEW explorer...and yeah, I know what you mean. Anything left with body-on-frame construction and at least one solid axle and low-range transfer case can still do a FEW things. But they're getting fewer and fewer...

*sniff* - I miss the Cherokee...only it and the Pathfinder had enough unit-body guts to do it right...

I used to have a Majorette Taxi like this. I think it was about 1:36 scale. I liked it because it had a real good suspension.

#6, And I still can. Having just seen Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry again yesterday, I think now that's where the imagery came from....apart from not being a 1966, this looks very similar to the Impala they drove in the first half of the film.

My friend has an '83 Impala. His is red though, and in better shape.

Basically, the Impala was the barebones model, a la the Biscayne of the 60's.

#17, Heck, a faded grey 89 Corolla with a rusty exhaust has more personality than a ZX2.

Seeing this image today, the first thing that came to mind was, "Lt. Frank Drebin, Police Squad!"
