#9 20 inch chrome HINDER performace. 1. they are TOO big. 2. They weigh A LOT compared to race rims. 3. You can't put anything but anything but paper thin rubber up there.
ricerocketboy, GET A LIFE. you agree with what people say. i.e: you said yea to my first post, #5, but you said good point to #9. don't go with the flow. you are a person and are entilted to your opion(sp) if these rims were smaller and not chrome, they would look nice |

Forgot the exact numbers here...
but some V6 Stang owner had the stock rims and was running high 14s with mods.
when he went to 20" rims, his time went up to high 15s... changes the rear ratio |

You noticed that too. He needs to think on his own and stop trying to be popular. It's not going to work here. We don't believe he's driven all of the vehicles he's mentioned because he's not even old enough TO drive. And his little girlfriend doesn't have a Boxster...geesh.
He's acting like a little kid following the big brother around and copying everything he does, just for a little attention and a playmate. |

bigger wheels won't help performance for the same reason bigger tires won't. hurts mileage. the wheel has to travel further to complete one revolution. |

Chrome wheels look good on this car, but they are an inch of two too big. |

These come out stock with 17s, and they seem to be alright. The GTS HSVs come out with 19s stock. They arent exactly small cars, although anything bigger than 17inch, the tyers become rather expencive. |

#34, As long as the combined tire/rim size stays the same, you can run any combo of HUGE rims with ultra-low profile tires, or small rims with fat tires and get the same result, thinner tires are preffered to get better handling and less tire mass to spin up in a performance application. While that's true, I have never thought that 17'' rims looked good on tiny cars, even if they do upgrade the performce, IMHO they look sinfully ugly, especialy when they are of this thin-spoke design |

#39, Yeah the 19'' and 20''s are just bizzare, a good idea taken to an excessively stupid limit
