#28, Yes, and no. The Galant is based on the Japan market Carisma, so technically, the Eclipse is just an updated Carisma. But, stateside, yes, teh Eclipse is rebodied Galant. |

#33, What a tangled web, eh? Think of the Land Rover Freelander. Development was started by Rover with Honda, finishedd by BMW, and updated just recently by ford! That explains why you will find Rover petrol engines, BMW diesel engines, Honda indicator stalks, and Focus switchgear!!!! |

#35, Thats been arpund for years. Some industry experts think that in 20 years, all engineering will be done on a contract basis, with only "badge engineering" remaining. |
