Description:
My theme nice civics: You may already know about what rests under the hood but most do not suspect the Vortech supercharger powering the 1.6L B16A2 to over 350 horsepower and 221 torque at the wheels! |

Well, except for the windshield banner, it's certainly not bad. |

uh... uh.... how did they get so much hp out of the B16A with a vortech? Must be all high high in the RPM range... not to mention the engine build costs if they are pushing that much boost. |

haha! to get the claimed 350 horsepower, the little honda had to hit 15psi and 8600rpm... |

#5 the stock redline is close to that anyway, do you expect it to redline at 5000 just because its s/c now? |

That's still at some awfully high rpm. Very little of that hp would be useful.
Nonetheless, I suppose I would sport it. |

#8, I guess its just funny the little engine has to work so hard and have so much help to get rather meager numbers... |

add in the fact exactly how long that engine will last on 15 pounds revving it to 8600 all the time, if he wants to have that 350 all the time. probably just one-time dyno numbers to appease all the honda fanboys... |

#11 meager? maybe for a 3500-lb camaro it is...for a 2500lb car its a little more than "meager" |

Still....even with a one-time reading of 350 hp and far less torque, this car still is far from being considered a performance car. Civic ricers, I mean racers, should just wake up and realize that a Civic is not meant to be, or safely can be, built up to a real performance machine. |

#7, 350 is 350 - it doesn't mean it's fast.
my camaro has only 170 - but that peaks probably 3300rmps. at 3300rpms - that civic is struggling to make enough torque to turn over the supercharger. |

This picture makes the car look like some kind of R/C car. Nice Civic however, it probably does something like a 13.9@110 =) |
