Tried putting my car on the wheels I want to get for it this summer, (ROH Snypers) and tinted it. I will probably drop it about 2 inches too. What do you guys think?

#37, I've seen Civics that are very well done, but they've spent more on making the car look good and less economical than is really worth it. If they have nice 15" or 16" rims with some nice tires, no fartpipes or wings or aletzzas, and it's tastefully done, I have no problem with it.

I'll admit I don't like many Civics, I just don't like them from the factory. I've been in them and I don't think they are good cars.

#40, Volvos handle better, that's for sure. Civics are FF understeer cars. On the other hand, you'll be hard-pressed to find a better handling sedan than a Volvo 240.

the only thing I would call "inferior" to a civic is some other econobox, compare year to year what were 1984 hondas like?

#40, They are RWD. They are known for reliablity--there's a whole production run of Volvos know for having "million mile" engines. And heck, if you don't like that, a lot of people retrofit them with Ford 302s. Some of them are available with engines that are decently powerful. Sure, their styling doesn't excite me, but is there anything besides that which would make them inferior to Civics?

#40, FAR INFERIOR TO A CIVIC?!?!?! Civics are bottom-of-the-line economy cars...nothing is "far inferior" to them. The only cars inferior to them are Hyundai Accents, Kias, Geos, Yugos, etc.

Ok, I like the looks of Volvos better than Civics if styling is everything.

#46 the new ones are more than "decently" powered, the smallest/cheapest volvo, the s40, runs mid 15's

Obviously you guys like volvos better than civics, you all fit into the biased anti-ricer category.

We're not biased, we just know a quality car when we see one...and we can also identify a cheap economy car as well. It sounds like YOU are the one who is biased, towards Civics.

#51 i would rather have a 2001 civic si over a new S40, if that tells you anything...but the new si's are plain ugly

We never discussed RICE anyways...you just started throwing accusations and pre-judgements around. We were talking about TASTEFUL and PROPER lowering of a car and NICE wheels that are in proportion to the car.

#51, i bet to you that makes us racists too.

because civic's come from honda. honda is a Japanese engineering company (NOT a car company). Therefore - since we don't like the civic we are racists!

I personally don't like Civics because I've been in them, I find them cheaply made and underpowered, and honestly not that attractive looking. I haven't even mentioned anything about ricing them, I don't like them from the factory.
