#39, it all depends on what's hit, closing speed and such

Lemming do you know about what your car is worth, undamaged that is?

#32, I'm totally aware of that one. Found out about it shortly after I got the car, and wasn't too pleased. Guess they're right.

#48, Should've been worth $10-12K.

No options, except basic equipment package with power everything and cruise control. No traction control, no ABS, no traction-lok. Manual transmission, and 11,500 miles. Excellent condition overall besides some minor paint defects (somebody scraped my front bumper while trying to park near me, and somebody else opened their door into my driver's side C-scoop).

Aftermarket exhaust (GT take-off), splashguards, and MUSTANG decals, plus 4 Pioneer TS-A6895 coaxial 6x8 speakers (~$250+ at time of purchase).

#50, Certainly cheaper to get parts for, though.

#51, well to total the car the damage has to be more then 70-75% of the cars worth, and i think you have more then that. so i dont think you have to worry to much about getting this one back

#53, The guys on the Forums seem to be of a similar opinion. There's a lot of intrusion into the passenger compartment, which implies quite a bit of structural and mechanical damage.

Engine's still good. Well, if you can ever call a 3.8 "good".

#54, yeah it would need to spend a good bit of time on the frame machine to be fixed, plus all the new parts

The way the driveshaft bowed out, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a bit of damage further forward, too.

This sucks. The car looks like it was pretty clean (of course, it's only a couple of years old).

BTW, Crown Vics are really good daily drivers. Good visiblity, plenty of midrange power, and good gas mileage. My parents' '92 gets 27 mpg on the highway.

I was planning on washing and waxing it sometime this week, then vacuuming the interior (needed to be done). Oh, well..

dedgum...
This makes me like my all steal back bumper and the added effect of good frame rails to hold that bumper in place...
