I'm well aware this ilikely isn't what you're going for with this car, but thought it worth linking again :)

I've thought about it, actually. I think in the long run it would be fun (ie once it's well paid off and I have another car)

That swap makes me wish I was a street racer, honestly. You could really make some money with that setup.

Makes me wish I could buy new cars and replace the entire drivetrain

I plan on (once I have PLENTY of money to burn) getting a 92-95 Civic hatchback, tinting the widnows as dark as physically possible, ripping out the stock engine, turning the engine compartment into a trunk, putting as big of a GM crate motor as I can fit in the back, converting the drivetrain to rear-wheel, (obviously) putting a firewall between me and the monster motor, and going to the track to see the look on people's faces when a Civic hatchback spins its rear tires and runs a sub-10 or 11 1/4 >:D

#105, Try a Yugo instead. Or a Cavalier wagon.

#110, But Im still kind of a Honda fanboy, just not as much as I used to be. Id do it to my 4g Accord, but someones already done a GM transplant to one of those. Also, Id keep it looking as stock as possible. I just want people to see it and laugh at first, then see their jaws DROP when I do a gross display of raw power.

#112, Another thing Id like to do is figure out how exactly a Harley Davidson's exhaust system works (they have two cylinders, correct?) and put two two-pipe headers on my car (side-exit it if I have to to get the short exhaust sound) just to have my beater cb7 sound like two Harleys rollin down the road. Think about it, you're walking down the street and you hear a couple motorcycles comin your way while youre thinking 'damn that sounds cool,' you look back and its my crappy car- let the laughing commence ;)

#113, i have wanted to do that too strangely enough. i mean, if a 2 cylinder motor cycle engine can sound that mean, whays keeping our litl 2.2's from doing the same?

Exactly. If a 2cyl motorcycle engine can sound crazy powerful, why cant a 4 cylinder?

#105, Why don't you just buy a RWD car and save $50,000? It'll look better than a chopped-up Civic too.
