I didn't have to, but I think of it as a form of public service.
i was complaining about somebody doing 40 in a 55 zone when i was late for class...
Upon reading a little further....If my top-heavy truck with mattress springs for suspension and bald snow tires from 1974 can take that turn at 75 without much drama, chances are that your brand new cadillac with the trademark always-on-left-turn-signal can too....Oh, and speaking of driving slow, I got pulled over today for going 65 in a 55 zone...WOW!!! PUT THE STRAIGHT JACKET ON ME FOR THAT ONE!!!
So let me get this straight....people who go far above the speed limit are morons, people who go 15 mph under the speed limit are shit-for-brains, but it's okay for you to 10 mph over the speed limit? Do those speed limit signs you harp about say "55, except for Nick Ambient, who can go 65"?

#41, show me the part in this thread where i say that everybody has to stick to the speed limit...all i'm talking about is people who do 100+ on the highway, as in the comment #25...everybody speeds a bit here an there, but i wont do more than 10 over the limit on the highway, which is usually 75 on most roads

#41, Also, what's this about your truck taking corners at 75? The only 75 mph zones that I know of are on wide open highways with sloping corners. The only 65 zones I know of are the same. Are you going 75 in 55 zones? For shame!
and sure, you guys have all the right to risk your own life...because you dont have anybody else who would be affected by it, like family or friends, because when you die, your parents will accept it and say "well, he had a human right to risk his own life, good for him"...they spent like 20 years raising you and you fuck it all up by exercising your stupid right to risk your life
So we should just all be totally safe and never take any risks, otherwise it might make our parents sad. Be sure to abstain from all sexual activity from now on, since condoms are 95% likely to stop HIV, but you don't want to take that 5% chance. Didn't you confront a guy once about his car, and he dented the side of your truck? Confronting strangers is very dangerous.

#45, why are you trying to use my old journal? if you read it, everything is an exaggeration, just look at the style of writing, i was just making a comparison to somebody who drove real slow...i never took corners at 75, that truck wasnt a sports car

...because obviously you are smarter than the cops/law, and nothing could ever happen, and government should put up speed limit signs saying: "55, but only during the day, because accidents dont happen at night, so use your best judgement"

3. i work for ups and a manufacturing company, and go to school for a business major in my spare time, while supporting myself and my girlfriend, and having plenty of money left over to enjoy life

That should be "they have got", or just "they have". If contractions are your thing, "they've got" would also be correct.

#49, so if i wrote a sci-fi book, would you try to use it to prove some dumb point against me? the journal is an exaggeration, it was just something i did in my spare time for laughs...you got nothing at all for a comeback, i talk about the speed limit, but come on, i know that nobody would do exactly 55, people do 60, 65, thats no big deal, thats traffic flow, i talk about people doing 100+

#52, So in other words, your journal is fiction? Exaggeration is one thing, but I understand your journal to be a reflection of your life and opinion. I can read into exaggeration, but "my truck can take corners at 75" is not a form of exaggeration by any means, because it lacks in absurdity. It sounds genuine.
So on one hand you're talking about how one shouldn't speed, as one is not smarter than the law. Yet you exceed the speed limit. Whether it's by 10 mph or 100, your point of "You're not smarter than the law" remains constant. The speed limit was placed in that area for a reason. When you decide it's okay for you to go 65 in a 55, by that logic, you're operating under the assumption that you are smarter than the people who placed that limit there, just as much as someone who goes 135 in the same zone.

#56, sure, if you do 10mph over the limit on the highway to keep up with the traffic flow, you're breaking the law, but don't try to tell me that doing 65 in a 55 is on the same level as doing 100+...everybody breaks the law by a small margin, but some just blow right by that margin

the 300C is starting to grow on me... the side windows are still a bit strange to me... too small... but hey...
it does look quite a bit like a futuristic Rolls Royce to me...
