#56, ok, if you want to analyze my journal to THAT degree, how about this: i never said that i TOOK corners at 75, all I said (assumed) that the ranger CAN do it, maybe the assumption was wrong, oh well...argue with that, smartass |

#61, there is a huge difference and a 10x risk of doing 100 over the limit, than doing 10...stop trying to make a good excuse for it, because there isnt |

#62, You said it with some degree of certainty...but if you insist you just made a bullshit assumption, I won't argue there. |

#61, You.. can be a millionaire.. and never pay taxes! You can be a millionaire.. and never pay taxes! You say.. "Steve.. how can I be a millionaire.. and never pay taxes?" First.. get a million dollars.
Now.. you say, "Steve.. what do I say to the tax man when he comes to my door and says, 'You.. have never paid taxes'?" Two simple words. Two simple words in the English language: "I forgot!" How many times do we let ourselves get into terrible situations because we don't say "I forgot"? Let's say you're on trial for armed robbery. You say to the judge, "I forgot armed robbery was illegal." Let's suppose he says back to you, "You have committed a foul crime. you have stolen hundreds and thousands of dollars from people at random, and you say, 'I forgot'?" Two simple words: Excuuuuuse me!!"

#64, There aren't excuses, there are only reasons. I wouldn't do 135 mph, but if someone else does on a wide-open highway with no traffic, it's none of my business or yours, as he's endangering nobody but himself. At least by your logic. High speed is not automatically more dangerous. Look at the Autobahn...serious accidents are rare, and fatal ones are even less common.
On top of that, the 300C is a car built for speed. I'll wager it's as steady at 135 as the average pickup truck is at 65.

#70, helluva lot safer than me going 135mph in my '68 firebird down a 2-lane country road... with winter tires on the front, and shot rear tires... with drum brakes on all 4 corners and shot shocks...
but what I did was stupid (I was 17 at the time) |

#69, Sorry, but that is not slang. Slang is not defined as a bad use of grammar.
slang
n.
1. A kind of language occurring chiefly in casual and playful speech, made up typically of short-lived coinages and figures of speech that are deliberately used in place of standard terms for added raciness, humor, irreverence, or other effect.
2. Language peculiar to a group; argot or jargon: thieves' slang. |

#75, ok, so i'll call it "simple talk", where i don't have to check the grammar of every sentence before i submit it, because it does not hinder the comprehension of my replies...thanks, i'll avoid using "slang" from now on |

#70, 65 or 130 mph, in that car they feel the same, nice and smooth. and if there was that much bitching about 135, imagine if he takes it to the limiter of 158. |
