#3, But... SUVs > Vans
Why?
A) Vans are seen as vehicles for soccer moms and none of the younger people would want to ride in something that is built for their mother, as where SUVs are seen as manly, big, powerful vehicles
B) The younger generation wants SUVs to bling out and modify |

What everyone forgets... back in the mid-'90s, minivans were the "macho" alternative to the soccer-mom station wagon... vans were cool.
I'm already seeing signs, and I bet within 5 years, SUVs will have absolutely no "macho" appeal to them anymore.
It's a vicious cycle I've mentioned a few times. Soccer moms want macho vehicles, but a vehicle isn't considered "macho" by a soccer mom if too many soccer moms drive it. Station wagons are coming back into fasion because soccer moms don't drive them. In 10 or 15 years, vans will come back into vogue. In 20-25 years, SUVs will again come back into vogue, and then after, that, guess what? Station wagons again. |

I wouldn't mind owning a minivan. It would make a kickass road trip mobile, plus, on those lonely nights, a great place to "sleep" in.
yes, "sleep". |

#8, we have a Caravan. It does make a nice road trip vehicle. I like laying down with the second seat folded flat pretty much. |

This minivan would be the sweetness if it were AWD, and atleast 300 horses. |

#6, I think that's one of the reasons the top 3 selling vehicles in the US are now big ol pickup trucks. People want something macho. In the late 60s and early 70s, they could get a musclecar, then when they pussified most of those they could get an SUV. Now since most of the SUV's have been pussified, one of the few things left is pickup trucks. Although, in recent years, there have been more vehicles introduced that could be considered musclecars. |
