It's light, easy to tune and RWD, sounds good to me.

#11, that's right! i always forget that, because the only corolla gt-s gen i ever see around here is the 88-91 gen, which was front wheel (i believe)

#12, Yep, they started changing drive trains after the AE-80 series in 1987, but I the AE95 was an AWD wagon IIRC

#15, Yeah they didn't really have much race credit in the late eighties, and the newer 4A series engines couldn't match the GT-S for power. (save for the 4A-GZE of course)

#13, and don't forget the extremely short lived production of the AWD sedan for 1989 (which of course failed miserably, because it's an economy car, and the AWD was too expensive and made the 100-hp 4A-FE even more sluggish)

#17, Yeah, VVT and LSDs were gone in favor of an economical approach, damn shame

LSDs I'm not familiar with, but my 2000 corolla has the VVT-i (which is nice)

#19, Limited slip differentials, basically a system of gears that allows torque to be better transferred to the wheels by not allowing the velocity of the output shafts to go beyond a preset amount. And Trueno's didn't have VVT, I was thinking about the variable induction system, my bad.
