it all depends on who is doin the driving of the car my neighbour has a 90 cavalier wagon wit 320k on it and it still doesnt burn oil but in my experience i have noticed that a honda will run forever the body might fall off but the car will still go and if hondas suck so much according to you guys. Why is it that you see no 88+ civics at the pick u parts and wat nots but you say millions of domestics

My main complaint about the Civic is the "oh, God, I am going to die" feeling. By which I mean, that feeling you get when you're used to driving a car that weighs well over 3000 lb, and then you're sitting in some noisy little thing that feels about a foot lower, and the road looks like it's right in your lap.

#59, Yeah, my dad has a '91 Caravan with 115k on it. He's followed the scheduled maintenance ever since he first bought it and has never had to replace anything beyond standard wear-and-tear (brakes, belts, chains, filters, etc.)

#64, Because all Civics prior to 1994 are dead, and the others are in the process of being riced. :-P

#64, Because the Civics have rusted into dust.

Im leaving this argument now as over here hondas are not so cheap, $21000 for the base model if you get a good deal, a hyundi accent is $15000 with a lot more going for it.

#64 I live near a junkyard that specializes in Hondas and Acuras. Try again.

I see plenty of civics in junk yards, the main reason the biggest part of em arent in there is because idiot kids like to take em and put big wings on em no matter how beeten up they are...
And also because there wasnt that large of a number of civics compaired to american cars to be put into salvage yards.

#67 And any pre-'94s that aren't dust (all three) are in the process of being "restored" and riced. =)

#67 4th gen civic was from 88-91 and 5th gen civics went from 92-95
why do you think the resale value of hondas is way better then domestics hmmmmmmmmm cause they last longer for example the newspaper beside me 92 honda civic cx for sale 8000 92 cavalier for sale 3500.

#73, I honestly couldn't care less about the model years and series. Frankly, I'd never ride in one again--70mph in one ONCE was more than enough to scare the living piss out of me.

#73, Oh well thats really sientific. How many kms on each, wear and tear, what the body like, how quickly do they want to sell the car, etc.

#78, And all that indicates is demand, which is not necesarily a sign of anything other than a fad.
