I, for one, would rather have a car I'm willing to drive for years than one I can get a few bucks off when I get sick of it. Saying something has high resale value is like saying the ignorant, buck-toothed, knock-kneed dog you took to the prom is a good cook.... who gives a shit??

Have you ever seen a Honda older than, say, 1985 being driven around? No. You know why? Because no one cares enough to keep them running that long. They're transportation appliances and nothing more.
