Although I like the 3rd gen RX7's much much much more than this, at least rotary in back in North America!

#6, i know the engine's seize after 80k but it mostly the owners own fault...rotary's need more maintainance then regular piston engines and when owners treat rotarys like piston engines, they damage very soon...

#7, my cousin has an old rx7 (dunno what year) - but the engine is cooked.

he wanted to hold onto it but found out not a single auto-shop in town will service it. He had to buy another rx7 just for the engine to put in old one.

#7, Mazda claims they've fixed the apex seal issue with the new engine. They've also improved fuel efficiency and emissions. Unfortunately they apparently won't be able to turbocharge it.

#9, 3rd party companies will eventually find a way to turbo/supercharge it...they always have workarounds....

The renesis was built to be a NA engine, the next rx-7 might have a version made turbo friendly, might not.
Might not even happen.
