#56, this is all vague recollection here for me... there are alot of Supras that fire up the horsepower numbers on the Dyno, but just don't get the equivalent numbers at the track.

Wow, you arent calling me a troll and saying i caused every single bit of it :-p
I still like that thing "AE86's drift so FWD cars can drift!"
I just stopped posting in that because theres no reason to flame someone who you can just deck in person...

Unrelated to this discussion, but: Something for the "9 second Supras can handle and corner crowd"....take a look at the wheels and rubber on the thing.

#31, Ok, you sir, don't know jack shit about Supra's. All you know is it is some kind of import car, for Christs sake you thought it was a FWD? WOW. Do some research, the 2JZ-GTE (93.5-98 Supra TT motor) is capable of holding over 700-800 hp on the stock bottom end. The block was taken from an earlier diseal truck Toyota built and is extremely over built for a stock car making about 300hp. Go to this website http://www.turboimports.com/swst88supra.html They use to have a video of that 9sec run, I've seen it many times, it is very impressive. BTW guys, this car still useed the 6-spd for the 9sec run, you can here the guy shift into 5th going down the track.

#59, 4000 lbs. for a B-body Mopar? Roadrunner Superbirds only weighed in at 3750 or so, and that's with all that aerodynamic crap on them.

#70, That sounds about right. The Titan Motorsports Supra runs 8.98 at ~155 mph.

#71, I think he was pointing out that the earlier guy who commented "yeah, maybe 9 seconds in the 1/8th" was an idiot because you don't generally see anything except maybe a top fuel dragster hit 150 mph in 1/8 mile. :-)

#31, dude, it is a 1/4 mile time. if it was a 9 sec. 1/8 mile, it would be quicker in the 1/4. if he could get that fast in the 1/8, he would be hittin at least 175 mph in the 1/4.

#7, for future refrence: skinny tires in front it is REAR wheel drive. skinny tires in back, FRONT wheel drive. No skinny tires, ALL-WHEEL drive.

Supras are a pain to drag with the IRS read and 6-spd. Possible to do with them, yes. The pro's use Ford 9" rear-ends a powerglide trannys on their cars

I have videos of this monster, it smoked a GSX1000 like it was standing still, then smoked a modded Honda CBR600 with the same results. When this thing accelerates it sounds like a deep howling noise that sounds incredibly intimidating.
