w00t, I just played splinter cell on Xbox, man that game is fun!! If Xbox was 100 bucks (get rid of those dam "free" games) then I'd buy one just for that game.(halo too) Its coming to ps2 and GC, but on 3/14/03....and thats a long time.

#890, Yeah, Sony DOES need to update their system...it's architecture design dates back to '95...albeit, the processor is a tad faster, and so is the video chip, but that's about it. They also need to fix their quality problems...can't tell you how many of my friends are on their 2nd or 3rd PSX/PS2 system...

#892, No no no no no no...when you do that, you invite incombatibility issues, such as with PC gaming. The nice thing about consoles is that you KNOW the game is going to work. You don't have to worry about what you have installed or don't have installed.

#893, true, that's why I got into console gaming when I baught a PS a couple years back. I hated looking at all the cool PC games and wondering they would run or not.

#897, This is the curse of console add-ons (most notably the PS2 HD), they invite incombatibility problems, and give game developers headaches trying to compromise on the games to cater to people who have the add-ons and don't have the add-ons...

That's why I'm not into PC gaming....the system has to be "tweaked" to run certain games. And then there are those that crash it for no apparent reason. To me, it's not worth better graphics for less stability. PC owners always like to brag about their high-end systems whenever I mention that.

Another problem with PC gaming, when you make it faster, or put on a different OS, some older games don't even WORK right...I've got a whole file full of game from my 486 and P1 days, and I can't get the sound to work and they crash all the time...I can't even play Nascar Racing 2, because it requires Windows '95, and won't work on Windows '98...don't ask me why it won't run, God only knows...
