#1060, there are slight variations between different systems, but thats basically it. they're both full-time.

#1063, My brother had a 94 and drove it about 150,000 miles with out much troubles, (I think)

#1069, it can, hard acceleration isn't to good on the transfer case and such on dry pavement

#1070, the front and rear wheels accelerate at diffrent speeds, which is not a good thing for the transfer case.

and if you ever see a stock awd "suv" and one with part-time 4wd going through mud the one with part-time will make it through easier, maybe ever in 2wd.
