I could pay off my student loan and finally move into my own place. Or least help my mother pay for the satellite programming next month. |

If I had this assholes money I'd put a downpayment on a small but nice rural house not too far in the sticks but far enough out of the subdivisions to never see a Starbucks again. Then I'd stop pussy footing around and start going to school full time, then I'd trade up from the Fifth Avenue to maybe a 300C, Magnum R/T or Charger R/T. And then I'd drop a 454 crate engine and 700R4 tranny into the Suburban and back it up with a Holley Demon carb, 4:10 gears, 9-inch rearend and Cragar wheels with Mickey Thompson drag radials. |

rims/stereo/paint does not equate to a nice car, I just mean, the base car. Its quite insane to me how on other forums I'm on are populated by idiots in nice cars(ie: G35, evos, turbo eclipsii, RSXs, last gen Camaros, 03 and up Mustang GTs/Cobras), and many more, even cars like porches and Juaguars) who often know jack shit about their car, and cars in general, yet here, a number of people have seemingly vast knowledge on automobiles, but drive what is found on most used car lots or rather, what some people call beaters. In the end, a nice car is in the eye of the beholder. |

#11, Idiots see what others think is cool (usually other idiots) and take it as being cool. Something may be a "cool car" but it could be total crap to someone that knows anything about what goes on under the hood and beyond the fenders. Cool to most is flashy and shiny. Cool to most is what is impractical. Cool to most wont be cool in two years. So what if somethings old? So what if most people dont think its cool? In my case, I could care less, because my "old shitty car" is faster than whats "cool" 75% of the time and thats what matters to me. The general population doesnt know shit about what an intake manifold does, much less what it is. Then again, the general population (at least my generation) is obsessed with the likes of the Real World and Greys Anatomy. |

#12, True. For example, I find racing an old tiny econobox cool. And not just because I do it, everytime I see something small ripping it up, trying so hard it almost wrecks, I grin. It's not only cool but also cute IMO.

#12, Hmm, you have a point, though I would imagine something with an H22 makes it uniqe to a degree, therefore putting it in the nice category(imo, it shouldn't matter what I think tho), but then again, I'm rather fond of that generation of Accord(as long as its well maintained, clean etc.) I just realized I've insulted the mjaority of this site with my post though. I apologize in advance, though I know some wouldn't trade their car for anything. |

#7, I do make enough money to finance a pretty high level of stupidity.
I still wouldn't do something like this. |

#7, Yeah, because it's just that easy, right? It's people's own fault they're poor. It's not like there are separate standards of living for each area in the country, and it's not like going to school to earn those all-important degrees to get decent work costs much or anything.

#17, I made about $6,700 in 2005. I moved to full time in '06 and changed jobs that November, so that one would be a little harder to figure up. At the rate I'm going at right now, I'll make somewhere in the region of $12,500 this year. |

#11, You pretty much summed up my argument there, we drive shitty cars because we are smart enough to realize that taking out a third mortgage on your house for a stereo system and rims is fucking stupid. And I don't know about you, but I can feel free to talk shit about anybody's car because I have a little thing called taste. Just becuase my car didn't cost 50 grand doesn't mean I'm a lower class of human being.
In 2004 I made about $10,000, in 2005 I made around $2,000, last year I figure I made about $1700 but most of that was under the table. This year at the current rate I'm looking to make about $12,000-$14,000 if all things go well.
