Yeah sure, buy it for me. I'll sell it on EBAY.
Better still, buy me an iPhone. I'll be able to pay off the rest of my tuition AND replace my back bumper. :D |

#43, A solid, #3 condition American full-sized sedan. Say, a 1974 Dodge Monaco.
And why? Because I want one, and they would fit into that price range. |

asically, I don't have a cell phone, and that makes me better than the rest of these douchebags who have one because I don't conform to society's standards. |

#55, Having a cell phone does not mean conforming to society's standards. Texting like mad, taking photos of memorable moments with a cell phone, and trick daddy ring tones are methods of using a cell phone to conform. I have moved 3 times in the last 4 years and my consistent cell phone number makes it easy to keep up with people. Plus, no need for a land line. |

#55, Pretty much, yeah, that's how I feel about it.
What percentage of people who own cell phones actually need them for anything meaningful? 15%, maybe 20%? If I needed one, I'd buy one, but I don't so I won't.
The vapid "OMG, I've got to be able to text message so I can conform and people won't make fun of me" crowd can have their bloody phones. They can get all reactionary and get offended when I am proud of the fact that I don't own one, and they can respond with their typical "Well, you just must think you're better than me!" line. I don't care. They're no different for the people who gave me shit about not wearing American Eagle clothes in high school, then getting confused when I scoffed at them for it. And how many people still wear that crap? |
