What makes any of you experts on my car anyways...I doubt any of you spent hours upon hours researching it and drive one every day. |

#58, a 78 F-150 doesn't look like a 98 F-150 either

#62, How is that relevant? I'm comparing cars of the SAME year, not 20 years apart.
And Stang...do you drive one and park beside an Escort? No...I do, I see the differences very clearly. |

a) FWD
b) Unibody
c) 4 banger
d) no boost
= forgetaboutit!
I mean it might make a nice daily (too small for my taste), but I wouldn't bother investing any serious money in it. Buy just about any RWD american car and have some fun. |

#65, You're right. It does make a nice daily driver. I would never attempt to race it or "hook it up" like the guy with the Escort here did. I realize it's an economy car and I'd never claim otherwise. Just something to drive from point a to point b until I get a car with a bigger engine and get my Mustang to restore. |

#67 - exactly. And with that 1/4mi time, it is essentially equivalent to a Honda Civic Si, so that would make it a bit of a sleeper... at least suprise a few people. I personally like bigger cars - which is why I drive a Buick Park Avenue for my daily... with an 18+ sec 1/4 time, but hey... nothing to prove with that beast. |

#69, however you could always slap an Ultra's supercharger on that and cut that time down quite a bit |

My tock ZX2 beats this guy's "hooked up" Escort by a second and a half in the 1/4.

hmmm... next time I go to the junkyard, I'll see if I can find an Ultra to strip... but I don't have the series II 3800, I actually have the Series I... whatever that means. I don't know what all happened between the two. |
