#283, I know I wouldn't spray a 175 shot in one with 90,000+ miles

#285, That hasn't stopped somebody on the Forums. Of course, I don't think I'm interested in finding that out first hand.

#284, Could be worse; at least it's not the 94-95 block.

#289, I think one of the SN95 guys on the forums claimed that bottom end would support almost 400hp. Still, I can think of a few things I'd do to take advantage of that BESIDES using the NAWWWSS.

But anyway, it's pretty low mileage, and sounds like it's in pretty good shape, so I'm probably getting it.

#290, i wouldn't count on that, hell they only tell you to run 150 shot max on a stock 5.0

just swap in an 03 cobra engine and a 6 speed and you'll be good to go ;-)

#293, That's one appealing thing about the car--I'd imagine all the mod motors have similar wiring harnesses and whatnot. Still, there is quite a bit you can do to the old 4.6s.

And my sister hates 'em, so they've gotta be good. :-)

The old 4.6s are pretty peppy to begin with. I love the midrange in my parents' '92 Crown Vic....and that's with 190 hp. I think the '97 4.6s made something like 220.

#296, Somewhere around there, with a possibly restrictive dual y-pipe type exhaust ("fake" duals). 280 lb-ft of torque on the '97. Supposedly the 99+ heads and intake are a direct swap.
