So, the next question, does anybody know anything about modular motors? :-) |

#285, That hasn't stopped somebody on the Forums. Of course, I don't think I'm interested in finding that out first hand. |

#289, I think one of the SN95 guys on the forums claimed that bottom end would support almost 400hp. Still, I can think of a few things I'd do to take advantage of that BESIDES using the NAWWWSS. |

But anyway, it's pretty low mileage, and sounds like it's in pretty good shape, so I'm probably getting it. |

#290, i wouldn't count on that, hell they only tell you to run 150 shot max on a stock 5.0 |

#293, That's one appealing thing about the car--I'd imagine all the mod motors have similar wiring harnesses and whatnot. Still, there is quite a bit you can do to the old 4.6s. |

And my sister hates 'em, so they've gotta be good. :-) |

The old 4.6s are pretty peppy to begin with. I love the midrange in my parents' '92 Crown Vic....and that's with 190 hp. I think the '97 4.6s made something like 220. |

#296, Somewhere around there, with a possibly restrictive dual y-pipe type exhaust ("fake" duals). 280 lb-ft of torque on the '97. Supposedly the 99+ heads and intake are a direct swap. |
