#1145, Ahh I see. Well a friend of mine works at a place where they convert normal vehicles into police packages, ambulances, fire dept trucks and cars, etc.. He once installed a wig wag system on his 87 Grand Prix he used to have. He was making people pull over :p

#1150, I'm not too suprised, the Syclone had the advantage of a Mitsu turbo, 700R4, Borg-Warner transfer case and a heavily modded Vortech and relatively low curb weight. The Lightning is still based off the beefy F-150 platform, although the 01+ Lightning had the stronger driveshaft, shorter drive ratio, better torque/hp output so I was expecting better results. They're both A/Ts so you can't fault a missed gear. Kid might have had on some lousy rubber or he might have done something to make the front end heavier or inadvertantly gotten less low end torque.
