#301, Consider this: if someone not wearing a seat belt is sitting behind you he/she will crush you and squeeze the guts out of you if the car crashes. I say buckle up or get the fuck out.
Compared to this fine is a minor problem.

#298, Im not saying seatbelts are bad, just pointless after a certain point. But if you are street racing in a 1000HP car and you crash, belt or no belt, your chances of survival is minimal.

#294, Well if it was a video of a car going 30 mph, I could see you bitching. But when the car is going that fast, it doesn't matter. If you crash a 1000 hp car while wailing on it, you probably will not live. Seatbelt or not.
And a person is not necessarily stupid for not wearing one. Some people just have different priorities.

if you have over 1000hp, you should have more than a seatbelt... a roll cage is nice, along with a 5-pt seatbelt... and a helmet.
plenty of drag racers bust up going over 200mph and walk out... safety of the car should ideally match the power

#307, At 1000HP a cage is simply necessary to keep the car together. Additional welds would be great too.
