One of my favorite "Maker-made" films of all time is Claude Lelouch's "Rendezvous" - "On an August morning in 1978, French filmmaker Claude Lelouch mounted a gyro-stabilized camera to the bumper of a Ferrari 275 GTB and had a friend, a professional Formula 1 racer, drive at breakneck speed through the heart of Paris. No streets were closed, for Lelouch was unable to obtain a permit."
Getting up to sacre couer (the church at the end) that quickly is fucking nuts!! I need driving around paris early in the morning, even at legal speeds. It's weird that city hasn't changed much. I've been around where this was filmed
I'm pretty sure it's a repost, but speedo/windshield view of a Turbo 'Busa, watch near the middle when they turn it up from 6 to 17 pounds of boost: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3GZBH78BUE
#1078, The ones that people survived are incredible--the crash at the end where the stock car was almost completely ripped in half, and the driver got up and walked away was just surreal.
